Water

One of the first hammered wedding band styles I developed, and still one of my absolute favourites. I love the pattern of hammering in these rings, which I stumbled across by using a very specific hammer I own. The large facets intersect almost geometrically, and give the ring a very clean, minimal and modern look. And yet at the same time, to me the contours of these rings undeniably bring to mind the surface of water. The best ring for any lover of the ocean (as a surfer, I’m with you).

The rings shown are a 2.5mm band, a 4mm band, and a 6mm band made in recycled silver, and a 2mm band and 4mm band made from Single Mine Origin gold. The 6mm ring is matte and all the rest are polished. I think either finish is good: the polished finish gives the effect of light dancing off water, but the matte finish allows you to see the shape of each facet more clearly.

I can make these rings in silver, 9 carat, or 18 carat yellow gold, rose gold or white gold. I can also use gold you've inherited, if you prefer. Or a mix! The beauty of a truly handmade ring is that I have total control over your metal, it's never sent away to a third party, so that means we can use it exactly as you want to.
