Flint
Inspired by the jagged flints held within soft chalky cliffs along the South of our coast, and the huge and contorted flint “hag stones” you can find whilst digging the fields of East Anglia. I have always loved these stones, the dark blue and jagged breaks in their surface contrasting so beautifully with the soft chalky coating covering their undamaged parts.

I’ve tried to mirror this contrasting texture in the surface of this ring, which I make by both sand-casting and hammering. I love the soft texture of the sand-casting against the hard blows of the hammer. These rings are truly unique, with the combined processes of sand-casting and hammering serving to create even more variation in each ring.
The rings shown on this page are both 4mm wide bands made in recycled silver, and one is set with black diamonds. There is no need for stones, but your wedding ring is the one piece of jewellery that you hope to wear every day for the rest of your life ~ if you like stones, go for them (I did). The ring shown with the black diamonds is actually a bespoke engagement ring, also a nice idea. Although both the rings in these photos are 4mm wide, I can make this style in any width you like.

Ethical Gemstones
I can make these rings in silver, 9 carat, or 18 carat gold. I can also use gold you’ve inherited, if you prefer. Or a mix! The beauty of a truly handmade ring is that I have total control over your metal, it’s never sent away to a third party, so that means we can use it exactly as you want to.
